Before David passed from pancreatic cancer in 2011, he wanted to create a non-profit outreach for hospice patients in the Lubbock area. He and his dear friends (Tammie Ware, Bill Sutter, & Bill Waller) worked together to co-found Dave's Wish as his legacy.

One hundred percent of donations go directly to patients locally in Lubbock County to help cover expenses like heating, groceries, rent, utilities, clothing, and household improvements. The goal is to help relieve the patients and families of a little stress that they might accrue at such a difficult time.
